Juan A. Latasa is currently the CEO of J21 Consulting & Ventures, a company he founded in early 2012. J21 has become a vibrant Consulting, Business Development and Venture Capital firm committed to helping high-growth technology companies in Telecom and Internet to develop their business in EU and Latam.

Juan has extensive experience in the Telecoms and Internet industry, after more than 18 years working in three of the top Telecom Operators in the world: AT&T, Telefónica and Vodafone, in different executive positions in Marketing, Strategy and Business Development.

In his last period at Vodafone, he was among others Head of Strategic Projects in Spain, with responsibility for the ADSL and Internet TV projects. Before, he had been with Telefónica/O2 for more than 10 years, with responsibilities in Spain, Europe, and Latam. Previously, he had worked for AT&T Consulting, both in Europe and USA, advising utilities and public sector institutions on telecom investment opportunities.

Juan has a B.S. in Physics with honors from M.I.T. (Boston, USA), and he started his professional career working as a Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab. He also holds an Executive MBA from IESE (Madrid, Spain).
